Give your new mattress some time to ‘air out’ upon removal from its original plastic packaging. Dispose of all plastic packaging as soon as possible.

Carry your mattress flat on its side. This will make it easier to handle and will avoid potential damage to the mattress.

NEVER PLACE YOUR MATTRESS NEAR AN OPEN FLAME OR EXPOSE TO FIRE. NO MATTRESS INCLUDING THIS ONE IS FLAME OR FIREPROOF, AND MATTRESSES CAN IGNITE AND/OR BURN IF EXPOSED TO AN OPEN FLAME OR FIRE WHEN IGNITED. IN ADDITION, BEDDING MATERIAL CAN BURN VERY RAPIDLY AND WILL EMIT HAZARDOUS GASES AND SMOKE WHEN BURNED.

Never smoke in bed. This mattress meets all Federal law requirements to resist a fire. This does not necessarily eliminate ignition by smoldering cigarettes or similar burning objects.

Do keep your bedding clean. We recommend using a mattress protector or pad. Especially if children will use the bed.

Mattresses are composed of upholstery material that may disintegrate with liquid and lead to unwanted compression of the materials. Therefore, don’t allow your mattress to get wet.

We recommend replacing your foundation when buying a new mattress. The foundation supports the mattress and keeps it intact. An older foundation may give way at certain points causing the mattress to seem that it is sagging when in reality, the foundation is simply not providing adequate support.

It is recommended to use an appropriate bed frame with center support for queen and king size mattress sets. Using the right bed frame will ensure that your warranty remains valid.

Do allow your memory foam mattress to warm to room temperature. The memory foam is temperature sensitive and will soften when it is warm.

The covers on some BestRest mattress models are removable for washing purposes. It is preferred that these covers are not put in a washer or dryer, but if it is absolutely necessary, then use a cold temperature setting for machine washing and a cool setting for machine drying; air drying is recommended.

Never jump and avoid standing on your mattress or foundation. Mattresses are not designed to absorb a concentrated weight in a small area. Such actions are considered abuse of the product.

Don’t remove the law label or tag at the end of your mattress. This label is an identification tag which protects your Limited Warranty rights.

Don’t use dry cleaning fluid of any type on your mattress. These chemicals will damage some of the construction materials and fibers and will void the Limited Warranty.

Product Disclaimer

We thank you for your purchase, and hope that you will enjoy your new mattress. Please note that your product may initially have a slight odor once it is removed from the packaging.

Please know that this is normal as a new product. The odor is not harmful or hazardous. After removing all the packaging, please dispose of the packaging immediately to reduce the potential odor from the room.

Place your product in a well-ventilated area. Allow up to 72 hours for the odor to completely dissipate.

Keep in mind that memory foam and gel products are sensitive to temperature, therefore allow 24 hours for the mattress at room temperature for the surface to return to its normal feel.

Warranty

The following Limited Warranty is given by BestRest to the purchaser of its mattresses.

Limited Warranty

BestRest warrants to you, the original purchaser, that:

The BestRest mattress you have purchased will (subject to the limitations and exceptions contained herein) be free from material manufacturing defects for the following respective warranty periods:

  • Non-Rental Use: Two (2) years from the date of purchase.
  • Rental Use: One year from the date the product is purchased for rental or for use under a rent-to-own program.

Under this Limited Warranty, the sole liability of BestRest is, at its option, to repair or replace any BestRest mattress, after determination upon examination by an authorized representative of BestRest to contain a material manufacturing defect.

BestRest’s mattresses are designed to be used with a firm, solid-surface, non-spring foundation or an adjustable bed base foundation.

Limitations and Exceptions

This Limited Warranty does not apply to business, commercial, institutional, or other non-residential uses.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to:

  1. Merchandise that was, at any time, used as a floor sample or display model
  2. Merchandise purchased in “as is” or second-hand condition
  3. Merchandise purchased at a distress sale or a going-out-of-business sale
  4. Merchandise purchased from a liquidator

This Limited Warranty does not cover the following:

  • Stains, spots, soiling, tears or burns of fabric.
  • Structural damage to a mattress caused by the misuse of an improper bed frame or foundation.

The mattress shall always be supported by a matching size foundation or appropriate subsurface as well as an appropriate bedframe. (An appropriate bed frame must completely support the foundation and must have a center support in the case of a queen or king size)

  • This Limited Warranty applies to queen and king mattresses ONLY in the case that they are used on an appropriate bed frame with a rigid center support having at least 5 legs and 3 cross slats.
  • A mattress or foundation that is not defective
  • Normal body impressions less than three-quarters of one inch (3/4″) in depth
  • The zippered mattress cover more than one (1) year after the date of purchase
  • Comfort preference
  • Sheet fit
  • Transportation costs

No warranty, expressed or implied, applies to any condition resulting from misuse, abuse, delivery, or transportation damage, nor any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance or cleaning. Damage caused by moving from original point of delivery to you, the final consumer will null and void this Limited Warranty.

Disclaimer

ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IMPOSED ON THE SALE OF THIS MATTRESS AND ITS PARTS UNDER STATE LAW, SHALL NOT EXCEED IN DURATION THE TERM OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY HAS BEEN MADE OR WILL BE MADE ON BEHALF OF BestRest WITH RESPECT TO THE MATTRESS AND ITS PARTS, OR THE OPERATION, REPAIR, OR REPLACEMENT THEREOF. FURTHERMORE, NO REPRESENTATIVE OF BestRest OR ITS AUTHORIZED DEALERS IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS TO THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.

IN THE CASE WHERE SOME RETAILERS OFFER EXTENDED OR ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EXTENDED OR ADDITIONAL FABRIC WARRANTIES, EITHER FROM THE RETAILER OR THROUGH A THIRD-PARTY, BestRest SHALL NOT BE LIABLE UNDER ANY OF THESE EXTENDED ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES OFFERED BY ANY RETAILER OR THROUGH A THIRD-PARTY.

IN THE EVENT OF A MANUFACTURING DEFECT DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, BestRest WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR SIMILAR DAMAGES OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED SHALL BE THE CONSUMER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT OR TORT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL BestRest’S RESPONSIBILITY BE OTHER THAN ITS SOLE OBLIGATION TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE PRODUCT. IN A DEFECTIVE CLAIM CASE, UPON EXAMINATION BY AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF BestRest, IF PROVEN TO CONTAIN A MATERIAL MANUFACTURING DEFECT, SO LONG AS BestRest IS WILLING AND ABLE TO REPAIR OR REPLACE ANY BestRest MATTRESS, THIS EXCLUSIVE REMEDY SHALL NOT BE DEEMED TO HAVE FAILED OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

BestRest DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THIS PRODUCT IS SUITABLE FOR ANY PERSON’S MEDICAL CONDITION. BestRest MAKES NO WARRANTY BEYOND THAT WHICH IS CONTAINED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.

IF YOU USE AN INAPPROPRIATE FOUNDATION OR BOX SPRING WITH THIS MATTRESS, SUCH USE WILL VOID THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. BestRest RESERVES ALL RIGHTS TO DISCONTINUE ITEMS AND CHANGE PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS WITHOUT NOTICE.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply in some states.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply in some states.

This Limited Warranty is governed by local laws. Please follow all local and state ordinances.

Other rights may vary from state to state.

Remedy

Under this Limited Warranty, BestRest’s exclusive obligation during the applicable warranty period is to repair or replace, at its option, any BestRest mattress, upon examination by an authorized representative of BestRest, to contain a material manufacturing defect. If within the warranty period, identical materials are unavailable at the time of repair or replacement, BestRest reserves the right to substitute materials of equal or better quality.

Claim Procedure

In case an issue arises which you feel may be covered by this Limited Warranty, please contact the retailer from which you have made your purchase. That BestRest authorized retailer will communicate with BestRest on your behalf. The original bill of sale and the law label from the defective product are necessary for the fulfillment of this Limited Warranty.

Any claim for warranty service must be reported within the warranty period and must be accompanied by the necessary information to satisfy Limited Warranty requirements. BestRest may require additional proof of the quality of the foundation or bed frame used with your mattress. If needed, the retailer will contact BestRest to establish service. If the problem can be easily corrected, BestRest will authorize the retailer to make those repairs or exchange.

BestRest can and reserves the right to require that the defective product or parts be returned upon BestRest’s request.

BestRest is in no way responsible for any cost incurred due to scheduling, transporting, removal or disposal of the product from your home to the retailer or from the retailer to your home. If applicable, such arrangement must be done by the final consumer and the retailer. If you need service but the retailer which you purchased from has closed, then contact BestRest  for instructions.

Caution

BestRest reserves the right to refuse service and invalidate this Limited Warranty when, upon inspection, the BestRest mattress is found to be in an unsanitary condition or when product failure is due to causes other than defective workmanship or materials. Please refer to the section of this Limited Warranty for proper mattress care.
